With many leagues having their fantasy playoffs start in Week 14, let’s take a look at the players who starred despite not being owned by many.
Each week, one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and one tight end are included. In order to be eligible for inclusion, the player must have been owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues.
This week’s list includes two repeats from last week as well as a quarterback who is beginning to show much-improved play.
Quarterback - Mitchell Trubisky, Bears (244 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 63 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown)
The much-maligned quarterback now has seven touchdown passes and two rushing touchdown in his last three games. Trubisky has shown much improvement after five of his first seven games did not result in any scores.

Running back - Raheem Mostert, 49ers (69 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receptions, 40 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
Mostert fell just shy of the 25 percent ownership threshold, and that allowed him to be included on the list for a third-straight week. During that three-game stretch, he has 260 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, five receptions, 70 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Running back - Boston Scott, Eagles (59 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 6 receptions, 69 receiving yards)
Scott had a grand total of 99 rushing/receiving yards entering Week 14. He surpassed that total on Monday night as he provided a spark that helped lead Philadelphia to their comeback victory.

Wide receiver - Diontae Johnson, Steelers (6 receptions, 60 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown, 16 rushing yards, 1 punt return touchdown)
A third round pick in 2019, Johnson finished with the first multi-touchdown game of his rookie year. An 85-yard punt return for a score was an added bonus for the few who put him in their lineup.
The Steelers noticed in the film room that Cardinals punter Andy Lee routinely outkicked his coverage. So, they held onto their blocks for an extra second to give Diontae Johnson even more room. @stephenjnesbitt on Sunday's big play: https://t.co/iEn9KTb3tc

Wide receiver - Marcus Johnson, Colts (3 receptions, 105 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
Now in his third season, Johnson easily set a new career-high in receiving yards as his previous best was 55. With T.Y. Hilton out the last two games, Johnson has been targeted 13 times and has caught seven of those.
One Colts positive: I think there's reason to be curious, and optimistic, about Marcus Johnson in these final games. He just gets open. Brissett missed him open vs TEN, (mostly) hit him open vs TB. Was open vs NYJ last year pre-injury.

Small sample size, but could be 2020 factor
Tight end - Tyler Higbee, Rams (7 receptions, 118 receiving yards)
Higbee makes the list for the second straight week as he has taken advantage of Gerald Everett not being in the lineup. He now has 14 catches for 223 yards and a score in his last two outings. According to USA Today, he became the first Rams tight end in the Super Bowl era to eclipse 100 yards in back-to-back games.
