Dignity Centre in Nicosia (Refumade Sewing Cooperative)
The Dignity Centre in Nicosia is a community space where all are welcome, offering a sewing room, classroom, games room, kitchen, laundry room, and child-friendly space. All items are handmade here by refugees, and each item sold means money for the creator. This gives refugees dignity and a way to make a living, feel wanted, and useful. The shop on the website also offers a cookery book with refugee’s own recipes and stories from back home.
Amnesty International online shop
The official Amnesty International USA store sells gifts that support indigenous communities worldwide and helps Amnesty continue their life-saving work. Items in the shop are fairly traded and help raise awareness for human rights in this increasingly terrible world. Choose from a range of high-quality t-shirts, bags, hoodies, hats and bandanas, jewelry, bags, wallets and journals for a gift that keeps on giving.
