Every week during the course of the regular season, we will take a look at players who performed well in fantasy but weren’t owned in many leagues. A quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and a tight end will be highlighted.
In order to be eligible for the list, the player must have been owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues heading into their game.
Some of Week 1’s stars were amongst the most picked up players heading into this week including John Ross III, Chris Thompson, and Malcolm Brown. Expect much of the same for this past week’s players to make the list.
Here are your Week 2 fantasy football stars who were likely unowned led off by a highly-paid quarterback who hasn’t been able to stay on the field.
Quarterback - Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers (297 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 8 rushing yards)
Garoppolo’s 297 passing yards were his most since December 17, 2017, and it was just his second career game of three touchdown passes (other instance occurring on September 18, 2016).

Running back - Raheem Mostert, 49ers (83 rushing yards, 3 receptions, 68 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
Thrust into more action with Tevin Coleman injured, Mostert took advantage with a career game. The fifth-year back had just one career touchdown prior to his 39-yard receiving score in the first quarter.
This won't show up in the box score, and the 49ers fumbled it away a few plays later, but Raheem Mostert had more than one run like this during which he turned a seeming disaster into something positive. Given injuries, Mostert is about to get a lot of run, IMO. pic.twitter.com/P4Bjg1jKrm

Running back - Frank Gore, Bills (68 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receptions, 15 yards)
Defying all odds and still going strong at the age of 36, Gore received 19 carries in the Bills’ win over the Giants. His fourth quarter score on the ground was his first since November 26, 2017.
Frank Gore rushed for 68 yards today. He’s up to 14,836. 164 yards away from 15,000 for his career, 433 back of Barry Sanders for #3 all-time.

Wide receiver - Demarcus Robinson, Chiefs (6 receptions, 172 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
Rookie Mecole Hardman was the most-added receiver on Kansas City after Tyreek Hill’s injury while Robinson mostly remained an afterthought. The fourth-year receiver finished with career-highs across the board in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns. Yahoo Sports believes he will the top waiver add this week.

* Sammy Watkins 50
* Demarcus Robinson 48
* Mecole Hardman 42
* De'Anthony Thomas 4
* Byron Pringle 2
Wide receiver - Nelson Agholar, Eagles (8 receptions, 107 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown)
Previously a viable fantasy option, Agholar figured to lose playing time to the returning DeSean Jackson and only had two catches for 11 yards in Week 1. Week 2 was a much different story as he hauled in eight of his 11 targets.

Tight end - Will Dissly, Seahawks (5 receptions, 50 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
While Dissly had his moments in his rookie year last season, he played just four games before succumbing to injury. After just one catch in Week 1, he was Wilson’s go-to guy in the red zone on Sunday.
