He's a transfer from Western Kentucky
The Nebraska basketball team has landed the commitments of several transfers since Fred Hoiberg arrived in Lincoln and Banton is just the latest. He played as a freshman last year, averaging 3.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He'll sit out the 2019-20 season and then have three years to play three.
He's a big man with ball handling skills
If you read the below tweet, you might notice something rather unusual there. He's listed as a 6-foot-8 point guard. One has to wonder whether he stays at point guard, but if he doesn't the Huskers have a man who could play the front court with special ball handling skills.
UPDATE: #Huskers land commitment from 6-foot-8 transfer guard Dalano Banton. @HuskerExtraCB has more on the former four-star recruit. #Nebrasketball https://t.co/3PmVwpgiHI pic.twitter.com/ql9WwjGMzH
