After looking at the best draft choices for the three teams with the top three picks in April’s draft (Cardinals, 49ers, Jets), it’s time to now look at the Raiders who will be selecting fourth. Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has them selecting edge rusher Josh Allen out of Kentucky with that pick in his latest mock draft.

The talent level that has come via the draft hasn’t been as deep as the first three teams that were looked at. This will likely be the only team that has both a kicker and a punter make the list. While the top guy on the list is a future Hall of Fame talent, he spent just four years with the Raiders before being traded.

Note: Only time with the Raiders was considered for the list. Also, where they were drafted made a difference - meaning this isn’t quite a top-ten best players drafted by Oakland since the 1990 list. Some late-round selections that did not quite make the list, but contained solid careers for the Raiders, include Michael Bush (fourth-round, 2007), Tyvon Branch (fourth-round, 2008), Brandon Myers (sixth-round, 2009), Denarius Moore (fifth-round, 2011), T.J. Carrie (seventh-round, 2014), and Maurice Hurst (fifth-round, 2018).

1

Khalil Mack, LB - 1st-round, 5th overall (2014); time with Raiders: 2014-2017

The 2016 Defensive Player of the Year, Mack was a dominant pass rusher recording 36.5 sacks in his last three years with the team. He was twice named a First Team All-Pro with Oakland.

2

Nnamdi Asomugha, CB - 1st-round, 31st overall (2003); time with Raiders: 2003-2010

Asomugha ended his tenure with the Raiders with three straight Pro Bowl appearances with two of those seasons seeing also be named a First Team All-Pro. He recorded 11 interceptions with the Raiders, eight of which came in the 2006 season.

3

Shane Lechler, P - 5th-round, 142nd overall (2000); time with Raiders: 2000-2012

A punter third on the list? Well, due to the lack of difference makers that the Raiders have drafted, Lechler fits here. He was named to the First Team Alll-2000s Team by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In 13 years with Oakland, he was named to seven Pro Bowls and was a six-time First Team All-Pro.

4

Kirk Morrison, LB - 3rd-round, 78th overall (2005); time with Raiders - 2005-2009

Starting 79 of a possible 80 games over his five seasons with the Raiders, Morrison ended each year with the team having at least 116 tackles. He also intercepted seven passes and forced six fumbles.

5

Derek Carr, QB - 2nd-round, 36th overall (2014); time with Raiders: 2014-present

Despite missing the last game of the 2016 season with injury, Carr finished third in MVP voting. He has missed just two starts in his five years, been named to three Pro Bowls, and thrown 122 touchdowns (compared to 54 interceptions).

6

Amari Cooper, WR - 1st-round, 4th overall (2015); time with Raiders: 2015-2018

Cooper was traded to the Cowboys a little less than halfway through last season. He was named a Pro Bowler in each of his first two seasons when he combined for 155 catches for 2,223 yards and 11 touchdowns.

7

Gabe Jackson, G - 3rd-round, 81st overall (2014); time with Raiders: 2014-present

Jackson has started 72 games at guard for Oakland in his five years, including 12 as a rookie. According to Raiders Wire of USA Today, he was the top-rated guard by Pro Football Focus last year in the AFC West.

8

Latavius Murray - 6th-round, 181st overall (2013); time with Raiders: 2013-2016

Murray's rookie season was spent on the sidelines due to injury, so he really played just three seasons for Oakland. Being a late-round pick helped to get him on the list as he made the Pro Bowl in 2015 when he rushed for 1,066 yards and six touchdowns. The following year, he reached paydirt 12 more times on the ground.

9

Sebastian Janikowski, K - 1st-round, 17th overall (200); time with Raiders: 2000-2016

Seventeen seasons with Oakland helped get this kicker on the list despite most rolling their eyes when they selected Janikowski in the first-round. He made 436 field goals at an 80.4 percent clip and connected on 58 from 50+ yards with the Raiders.

10

Ronald Curry, WR - 7th-round, 235th overall (2002); time with Raiders: 2002-2009

A seventh-round pick, Curry had three seasons with the Raiders in which he accumulated at least 50 receptions for 679 yards. The fact he was drafted so late gives him the slight advantage over fellow former wide receiver Jerry Porter (second-round pick) for the last spot.
