Now that Jason Witten has announced he is coming out of retirement and returning to the Dallas Cowboys, questions surround who will replace him in the "Monday Night Football" broadcast booth. Witten had been with ESPN and "MNF" for one season. Witten had a disastrous rookie year in the broadcast booth. Several names have come up about potentially replacing Witten.

1

Louis Riddick

Probably the best option available is Riddick. Riddick is a former player and front office executive. He knows the game and can provide in-depth analysis for every game. Riddick is already part of the "Monday Night Football" pregame show and a frequent guest on "SportsCenter" and other ESPN radio shows.

2

Peyton Manning

While Peyton Manning has been retired for a few years, he's still making his presence felt during NFL games, with his Nationwide commercials. His legendary performance would provide invaluable insight to the network and football fans.

3

Kurt Warner

Kurt Warner nearly got the job held by Witten, but instead found himself being a part of NFL Network and NBC. Warner became an analyst for Westwood One for "MNF." He's also joined the NBC booth for several games, filling in for Cris Collinsworth.

4

Greg Olsen

While he is still an active player, Greg Olsen has the looks and talent for TV. Olsen says he will play this coming season, but if he decides to retire, ESPN will definitely consider him, after recruiting Jason Witten.

5

Booger McFarland

Probably the easiest choice would be Booger McFarland. After suffering from a failed gimmick, perhaps it's time to head to the booth and work as a real analyst. He's already worked with Tessitore and Lisa Salters.
