Mark Zagunis
The outfielder will likely start out in Iowa, but Mark Zagunis has certainly made his case to make the big club. He leads the Chicago Cubs in homers (4) and RBI (12) and is hitting .351 this spring.
Cristian Adames
The former Colorado Rockie has an outside chance of making the Cubs out of camp if Daniel Descalso isn't ready to go on opening day. He's certainly making a case for being on the roster, considering he's hitting .415 and is second on the team in homers (3) and RBI (11). The big strike against him is that he's had several cups of coffee in the bigs and never been particularly good.
Albert Almora
The likely starting centerfielder for the Cubs has been looking to add some pop to his repertoire. He's certainly done it so far. In addition to hitting three home runs and driving in eight runs, he's also hitting .357 this spring. If there is cause for concern, it's the zero walks he's gotten so far in 42 plate appearances.
David Bote
There might not be a Cub who had more to prove coming into the spring than Bote. He started out his stint in 2018 on a massive hot streak. He ended it ice cold. Fans everywhere should hope his spring is the culmination of an offseason workout that will translate to the summer. The infielder is hitting .424 with two homers and seven RBI. He's also walked nine times and struck out just eight.
Willson Contreras
The Cubs catcher had a down 2018 and is hoping to bounce back. So far so good. He's hitting .333 with two homers and 10 RBI in the spring.
