On Saturday (January 5), the Seattle Seahawks battle the Dallas Cowboys in a primetime NFC Wild Card game. The two teams have met multiple times before, with this game for a spot in the next round. Below are some of the trends that analysts are looking at it in terms of the betting odds for the game and how it might go.
Dallas on a roll in last eight games
Heading into this Saturday's game, Dallas is 7-1 straight up in their last eight games. They've also beat the betting spread with a 6-1-1 record in those games. One of those recent wins was the final game of the season, where Dak Prescott played the entire game and they won a game they didn't really need to. There's some momentum.
387 yards. 4 TDs. And an epic final drive for the win. @dak played lights out in Week 17! #DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/0ZObHpp1K7

Seattle's night game trends
This will be an NFL playoffs primetime matchup on Saturday, and that seems to favor the visiting Seahawks. Russell Wilson and company are 11-2 straight up and 11-2 ATS in their last 13 prime-time games as an underdog. They're also an astounding 22-5-1 in their last 28 primetime games where Wilson was quarterback.
After a turbulent offseason, many were calling for a rebuild in Seattle.

Points total trend for Seahawks
Since Week 9, Seattle hasn't scored fewer than 20 points. Funnily enough, the Cowboys are averaging 21.2 points per game this season and allowing 20.3 to opponents. The total is currently at 42.5 points for the game and many analysts are leaning toward this going over.

Previous game in Week 3
The two teams played once this season, back in Week 3. That was a 24-13 victory in Seattle, with Wilson tossing 192 yards and two touchdowns. Prescott was held to 168 yards and a touchdown, but also got picked off twice. Elliott ran for 127 yards but no touchdowns. Some say the Cowboys have been a different team over their last eight games, so will the result be any different on Saturday?
With the Bears' win over the Vikings ... it is decided.

Seattle vs Dallas previous meetings
Over these teams' last 10 meetings, Seattle is 6-4 straight up, but just 4-6 against the spread. The Over has hit just twice in the 10 chances. Even more convincing, is that the Seahawks are 3-0 over the last three meetings between the teams. Most analysts believe this will be Russell Wilson guiding his team to the next round, but don't be too quick to count out the home team!
