Clemson is still soaking up the glow of their national title win, but now it's time to look ahead and make bold predictions for the 2019 season. While the Tigers are enjoying their dominating victory against Alabama, everyone else is finding a way to knock them off from their perch.
Alabama is handed two losses
The Crimson Tide continues to walk all over their opponents during regular season play. While they will continue to do that next season, they are definitely going to have a rocky year at Alabama.
FSU fires Willie Taggert
Willie Taggart had an extremely rocky season last year. For the first time in 36 years, Willie Taggart failed to bring the Seminoles to a bowl game. If Taggart flirts with disaster this year, FSU is going to boot him from the program. Taggart needs to start off with a bang in his second season.
Jim Harbaugh finally beats Ohio State
Jim Harbaugh is an amazing coach and has done a lot of good things as head coach at Michigan. However, he has yet been able to defeat Ohio State. With Urban Meyer gone, Harbaugh only needs a new gameplan to overcome Ryan Day. This should give Michigan the edge they need to beat the Buckeyes. Michigan needs to beat their bitter rivals, if they want to reestablish themselves as national title worthy.
Texas and Texas A&M make the CFP
The state of Texas is set to become the face of college football, as the two premiere college football programs will have a very successful season. Texas A&M will clinch the SEC, sending them to the College Football Playoff. Texas will clinch the Big 12, finding a way to defeat Oklahoma led by Jaylen Hurts.
Jalen Hurts will lose his starting gig at Oklahoma
Jalen Hurts decided to transfer from Alabama to Oklahoma, to play out the remainder of his college football career. Hurts may win the starting job at Oklahoma, but might not hold it for the entire season. The flaws seen by Saban will also be seen by Lincoln Riley. My theory is he will keep the job until he loses a game.
