The Nebraska Cornhuskers football team may have finished with a 4-8 record in 2018, but the optimism for 2019 is growing by the day. With recruiting on the rise and several key components returning on both sides of the ball, Huskers fans are already counting down the days until Week 1 of the 2019 season!

1

Adrian Martinez -- QB

This is a no-brainer. Martinez is the straw that stirs the drink on offense for the Huskers. His ability to pass and run with great efficiency will be determine how far this team goes in 2019.

Maurice Washington -- RB

No one can replace a stud like Devine Ozigbo, but as a freshman, Maurice Washington gained nearly 500 yards rushing and showed flashes of becoming the goto guy next season.

3

Dedrick Mills -- RB

Mills, a JUCO transfer, is expected to bring help to the Huskers running game. Teaming him up with Maurice Washington should give Nebraska a nice 1-2 punch.
