Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma fighting for playoff spot in final week

These are the four teams that could make it, but here is a look at what happens if one of them slips up.

It is time for championship weekend in NCAA college football and this weekend's games will determine who will make the College Football Playoffs. There are four teams that will probably lock down a spot if they win, and one on the outside looking in.

1

Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide are favored to win it all this year. They play #4 Georgia on Saturday afternoon. Even with a loss, Alabama is in, but if they lose, Georgia will play spoiler and probably knock the Oklahoma Sooners out.

2

Clemson Tigers

The Clemson Tigers have started to struggle defensively but are still undefeated heading into their championship game. They play Pittsburgh on Saturday night and that should be an easy win for the Tigers.

3

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame is not in a conference and they are undefeated, meaning they are in the playoffs regardless of any other games.

4

Oklahoma Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners play the only team that beat them this year in the Texas Longhorns. If OU wins, they are in -- unless Georgia beats Alabama, and then the committee will have to choose between OU and Alabama.

5

Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Buckeyes need help. They play Northwestern on Saturday night in a game they should win. If OU and Alabama win, OSU is probably out. If one of those teams lose, OSU could slip right into the playoffs.
