Dallas Cowboys look surprisingly strong heading towards a playoff spot

The Cowboys have put themselves into a position to win late in the 2018 NFL season.

The Dallas Cowboys shocked the NFL world when they upset the previously one-loss New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. With the big win, many are wondering if the Cowboys can go all the way to the Super Bowl. Here are five players that can help lead them to the Promised Land.

Ezekiel Elliott

Forget about Dak Prescott, the leader on this offense is running back Ezekiel Elliott. He has 1,150 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

Amari Cooper

A lot of people complained about the Cowboys trading a first round pick for Amari Cooper. However, since joining the team, he has 30 receptions for 424 yards in five games.

DeMarcus Lawrence

The Cowboys franchise tagged Lawrence but they have to keep him after this season. He leads the team with 9.5 sacks.

Jaylon Smith

Jaylon Smith has proven his injured foot from college is behind him and has 87 tackles on the season.

Leighton Vander Esch

Sean Lee was the starter but his injury has opened things up for rookie Vander Esch. He leads the team with 102 tackles and also has two interceptions.
