The Syracuse Orangemen took on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Wednesday night. In many ways, it was a litmus test for both programs. The Orange managed to toppled OSU 72-62 in Columbus. Players on both sides managed to stand out from the pack in the game.
CJ Jackson
The senior guard did everything he could to try and help the Buckeyes to win. He scored 19 points and hauled down four rebounds. His 4-for-14 shooting was likely part of the problem for OSU.
Tyus Battle
The Syracuse junior played all 40 minutes on Wednesday night. He made the most of them, as he scored 20 points, had three rebounds and two assists.
Elijah Hughes
Like Battle, the Syracuse forward managed to play all 40 minutes. He scored 18 points thanks in large part to the fact that he hit 4-of-9 three-point shots.
Kaleb Wesson
Wesson had an ... interesting game on Wednesday. He hit just 1-of-8 shots. For whatever reason, Syracuse put him on the free-throw line often. He hit 11-of-14 free-throws and scored 13 points.
Oshae Brissett
One of the youngest starters on the court on Wednesday night, Brissett had himself another good game in what has been a solid season. Brissett scored 14-points and was 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.
