Jamel Starks might be one of the top prospects left on the Nebraska football board. That's why you should get to know him and what he's about, just a little bit better.
He's about to cut down his list by quite a lot
Jamel Starks is paring down his list very, very soon. He announced he was going to be cutting down to his top six schools on Friday (October 19). The Nebraska football team is expected to be among them.

He's getting more attention than his stars would indicate
While he is just a three-star prospect on 247Sports, he's gotten quite a bit of attention. He has a total of 34 offers.
He plays both ways
While the Huskers are looking at him primarily as a defensive back, he's also getting quite a bit of action as a running back in high school.

Nebraska football is his most recent visit
The Huskers are the last team Starks visited when he came to Lincoln on September 8. That could bode very well for the Cornhuskers..

He fits the profile
The Huskers have been hitting Georgia pretty hard since the new coaching staff arrived. While Starks isn't a high profile player from the state, he's got plenty of talent. This is the kind of guy they had good luck with at UCF, and now they're hoping to bring him to Lincoln.
