Kendrick Lamar goes insane lyrically
It's not a major surprise that when Kendrick Lamar blesses a track he's the star no matter who's album it is. That's the case again, even with a great like Wayne, who takes a backseat to Kendrick's sick verse on "Mona Lisa."

'Tha Carter V' brings throwback beats
Wayne and his production team, including Swizz Beats, Metro Boomin, and DJ Mustard pay homage to hip-hop classics. "Uproar" features a throwback sample to G Dep's 2001 song "Special Delivery" while "Dope Nโโz" features Snoop Dogg and "Xplosion" from Dre's "Chronic" album.
