Meghan King Edmonds welcomed her baby girl Aspen last November and she's loving her role as her mother. In the beginning, Meghan was super excited and she was thrilled to be a mother. However, King Edmonds quickly realized that motherhood is hard. While there's no way someone can truly prepare for the experiences of motherhood, King Edmonds quickly realized that she needed to get out. She wanted to get back in the work force and start feeling like a normal human being again after breastfeeding and crying.

This "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star is now opening up about her decision to go back to work.

On the show, Meghan was doing a photo shoot for work and she brought Aspen and Girly Girl with her. As she explains, Meghan loves that she can return to work and bring her daughter and dog with her. That makes it so much easier to return to work. According to Bravo, Meghan King Edmonds explains that it was important for her to return to work for her own sake.

Need to get out

Like many mothers, Meghan felt the need to get out of the house and do something for herself. Becoming a mother is tough and many new mothers quickly feel trapped in their homes. They change diapers, nurse, and comfort their babies. After a few months, a cup of coffee with a friend at a cafe or even an hour without the baby sounds amazing.

For Meghan King Edmonds, she revealed that she wanted to get back to work for her own mental health. Perhaps she felt like she was going stir crazy.

"For me, it’s so important for my mental health to work and play outside the home," Meghan explained about her life as a mother, adding, "And I love that I’m able to take Aspen and Girly Girl with me to work since I have Bridget to help!"

Kelly Dodd's criticism

There is nothing wrong with Meghan wanting to spend time outside of the home after having Aspen for a few months.

As fans are seeing on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Kelly Dodd will flip out on Meghan in the next episode. Dodd will use the one thing that will hurt Meghan the most: her daughter. In the previews, Kelly yells at Meghan, telling her that she should be at home with her daughter Aspen instead of spending time with her co-stars out at a bar.

It sounds like she is retaliating, as spending time outside of the home is healthy as well.

What do you think of Meghan King Edmonds' decision to work outside of the home for the sake of her mental health? Do you think Kelly's criticism of King Edmonds spending time away from her daughter is fair?
