The "Dance Moms" resident terror teacher is known for punishing the child if she feels that the mother is behaving badly. Unfortunately, the "Cowgirl's Story" actress had always been the subject of Miller's harsh scrutiny. Was it the reason behind the young dancer's exit from the hit Lifetime show?
Chloe Lukasiak was a shy and quiet little girl when she first joined the cast of "Dance Moms" up until her departure in season 4. Now, the 15-year-old dancer, actress, and model has found her voice and is done biting her tongue regarding her experience working with Abby Lee Miller.
Talking about her new book, "Girl on Pointe: Chloe's Guide to Taking on the World," the young star revealed the real reason behind her shocking exit.
Chloe quits because of Abby?
“The reason for leaving the show was my old teacher mocked my eye very bluntly; I was dealing with some serious health issues,” Chloe Lukasiak told People magazine. “I’m very happy I left when I did. I think it only would’ve gotten way worse. I don’t think that would’ve been good for my mom or me, for our mental state. Everything happens for a reason so I was glad I left.”
During the heated argument of Abby Lee Miller and Chloe's mom, Christi Lukasiak, in "Dance Moms" season 4 Nationals, the 50-year-old dance instructor, choreographer, and director screamed that Chloe Lukasiak had a "lazy eye." What Miller did not know at the time is that her Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) student was actually suffering from a very serious condition.
The mean comment was the last straw for the mother-daughter duo and they have decided not to return to the reality dance television series.
Chloe reveals reason for leaving
Chloe Lukasiak has opened up to her YouTube channel that she had a Silent Sinus Syndrome that caused her right eye eye to be significantly smaller than the other.
The "Center Pointe: On Stage" star tearfully recalled her experience about being made fun of because of her eye. Although she did not mention any names, every "Dance Moms" fan knows that she meant her former dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller.
"Even and adult in my life made fun of it, not knowing or caring what was really going on or not even bothering to ask," Chloe Lukasiak told her YouTube viewers.
"Normally those kind of comments don't bother me but that one really hit the spot because it's just hard when people are saying things and they don't really know what's going on."
Chloe Lukasiak eventually moved on from that heartbreaking experience. The teen sought medical help to cure the condition and underwent surgery to fix the problem. Currently, Chloe has returned to "Dance Moms" season 7 and she is expected to be back for "Dance Moms" season 8.
