For the third time since Apple unleashed the iOS 11 operating system three weeks ago, the tech firm has updated iPad and iPhone's software. Apple officially rolled out the iOS 11.0.3.

Apple’s latest software update comes along with bug fixes for iPads as well as iPhones. The focal point of the new iOS 11.0.3 is on the iPhone 7, 7 Plus and 6s. The software update deals with iPhone 7 and 7 Plus’ haptic feedback issue. The update also addresses the touchscreen problem of the iPhone 6s. Apple device users can download the update by heading to Settings, General and then Software Update.

According to Apple Support, the new update includes iOS 11’s security content. All the operating system’s updates so far have been in response to Apple devices’ security issues and bugs. The 11.0.1 version fixed a security flaw, while the 11.0.2 version fixed iPhone 8’s crackling audio problem. This could indicate how quickly the Cupertino-based tech company releases a fix to its operating system.

11.1 beta version

Apple has yet to release more major updates to the operating system. The first big changes of the operating system are expected to arrive with iOS 11.1, which is now in beta version and should be available later this month, according to 9to5 Mac.

The tech firm announced last week that the forthcoming iOS 11.1 update will have a large number of new emojis.

The new emojis include clothing options, animals, more emotive faces, gender-neutral characters as well as mythical creatures and persons. The new emojis are expected to be available in the 11.1 beta version this week. However, the tech firm has yet to announce the exact release date of the 11.1 version.

Person-to-person payment system

Aside from the emojis, Apple device users are waiting for the enhancements of the Apple Pay feature, which were announced during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event in June. The improvements of the Apple Pay feature will include the Apple Pay Cash card as well as the person-to-person payment system.

The new Apple Pay features were supposed to arrive in the official release of the iOS 11. The company has announced the enhancements will come in the operating system’s updates, but so far Apple has unleashed three updates with no indication of the new features. While the tech firm has yet to announce the new features’ official release date, Apple device users are expected it to arrive this month. Nonetheless, the iOS 11 update comes with a customizable Control Center, a redesigned Lock screen and Siri’s more natural voice, among others.
