The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave the Google Pixel 2 a certification last month. Now, it has been certified by the agency, with an FCC ID ZNFG011C.

According to Digit, the FCC listing made it known that the larger Pixel variant will be manufactured by LG. This could mean that the upcoming Google smartphone will likely have an LG design style, which could probably be a bezel-less design, as well as, a beautiful display.

The FCC listing did not provide essential information regarding the larger Pixel variant. However, it does confirm that the smartphone will support major U.S.

carriers, such as T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T.

Launch date

According to Forbes, the search engine giant will launch the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones on October 4. But, the company has been mum about the smartphone’s specs and features.

The company has yet to announce the official price of its next generation Pixel devices, but the smartphones are expected to have a premium price. The new handsets might have a price tag slightly higher than its predecessors.

Smartphones with Android Oreo

On the software front, Google’s latest mobile devices will run on the Android Oreo operating system out of the box. In the meantime, the operating system has been rolled out to Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XZ1, and the first-gen Pixel devices.

The Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL are expected to have an aspect ratio of 18:9 with a 2,560 x 1,312 pixel resolution. This could indicate that the new smartphones will be comparable with the most attractive mobile devices on the market. The tech company is expected to roll out the new handsets with its Daydream VR platform.

The smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system on chip (SoC), coupled with a 4GB of RAM. The next-gen Pixel mobile devices will come with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The handsets will arrive with an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The smaller model will feature a 12MP camera with an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Google will likely launch its new handsets with an enhanced Google Assistant. The mobile devices are also expected to come along with an improved battery life. Based on Pixel 2’s latest teaser video, the smartphone might arrive with an unlimited cloud storage. Android Police reported that Google’s new mobile devices will arrive with a front-facing stereo speakers.
