Samsung made it official earlier this month that they will be launching their next-flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23rd and the device has already been leaked in a special ‘Midnight Black’ color variant. Prolific leakster, Evan Blass of the VentureBeat fame took to his official Twitter account to post the image of the same. Most of the leaks that come from Evan Blass are usually authentic and history is proof for the same. He had also posted images of the samsung galaxy S8 and S8 Plus before its launch earlier this year, and they inevitably turned out to be true.
This isn’t the first time that the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone has been leaked in the form of renders or listings on an official regulatory website. However, this particular image allows viewers a good look at the front panel of the upcoming smartphone.
Design of the flagship
It can visibly be interpreted from the front panels of the smartphone in the image that the device will be carrying an Infinity display – just like the one found on its previous smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The smartphone seems to further sport a bezel-less design as well, which only makes things more similar to its predecessor. The device has been leaked in a special ‘Midnight Black’ color variant; however, more colors under this category are expected from the side of Samsung.
Viewers can also observe a cutout on the bottom corner of the smartphone in the image, which is assumed to be a dedicated space kept aside for Samsung’s iconic S stylus pen.
Samsung seems to have given separate spaces for volume and power buttons on the left-hand side of the device, while there is a dedicated button for the Bixby digital voice assistant on the right-hand corner of the smartphone.
Since only one image has been leaked and only the front panel of the smartphone can be seen on that image, it is impossible to guess what lies behind. However, previous rumors have indicated that the smartphone will pack a dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint scanner on the backside of the smartphone.
Specs and features
There have been many rumors that have even suggested that the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 smartphone will come powered with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip.
Storage-wise, the device is expected to offer two options: 4GB and 6GB of RAM alongside 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. There is immense pressure on Samsung to outdo its last year’s Galaxy Note 7 fiasco through the launch of its successor.
