The Honor 8 Pro smartphone is set to release next month. The device which was first showcased at MWC 2017 as Honor V9 has been resurrected as Honor 8 Pro in Asian markets, specifically India. The device is expected to launch on July 6th and will be sold exclusively through leading e-commerce platforms.
The smartphone is competitive
The smartphone poses Direct Competition to other flagship devices on the market including upcoming high-end devices like, Google Pixel 2 and Apple’s iPhone 8. The highlight of the smartphone is that it packs the modern, 4th-gen dual camera technology with 8MP rear sensors.
But what exactly makes Honor 8 Pro so special? Let’s find out.
An incredibly designed phone
In comparison to its predecessor, the smartphone packs a completely new design with a metal unibody that measures 6.97mm thickness, further complimented by rounded edges. It's quite surprising how slim the smartphone is especially given the fact that it packs a 4,000mAh battery.
It features a 5.7-inch display with thin borders on all sides. This is especially a plus point because it makes it easier for the user to hold the device. The smartphone is further protected by Gorilla Glass 3 protection, thereby safeguarding the device from all kinds of damage if dropped. As the smartphone comes packed with QHD resolution at 515 pixel-per-inch, the viewing is quite dense.
Decent specs and features
Coming to its primary feature, the smartphone flaunts an 8MP front camera bordered by a recessed metal earpiece, making the smartphone stand out. Unfortunately, the smartphone does not include front-facing stereo speakers the way the Huawei Nexus 6P did. To compensate for the missing stereo speaker, the Honor 8 Pro has a secondary microphone located on the top of the device.
The rear camera packs 12MP sensors with a protective glass covering. The photos captured by the device are crisp and bright.
Storage space and processor
The smartphone is powered by Kirin 960 processor made by the company itself and further, goes on to offer 6GB of RAM. The phone also has 128GB of internal storage. Therefore, there is an abundance of space for users to store applications and images.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based on the EMUI 5.1 skin. All in all, the smartphone is quite snappy and meets all the basic needs of a smartphone user.
