There is a new issue within the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a post on Snapchat last week, it appeared that Cavaliers superstar LeBron James was unhappy when he saw the crew of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" at their practice facility. James called them "the sh*t show" several times in the short video. There were reports that the crew was present to film his teammate Tristan Thompson, who is dating reality star, Khloé Kardashian.
Beth Shilliday of Hollywood Life wrote that Thompson "got shamed" by what happened. Shilliday added that the 26-year-old is now "afraid that his team might turn on him." In the report, an insider shared that Thompson "feels he is in a lose-lose situation" because he may have to choose between Khloe and the Cavaliers.
Second time around
It is not the first time controversy surrounded LeBron James and Tristan Thompson. In April, during a crucial regular season game versus the Indiana Pacers, the two were caught having a verbal altercation while heading to the bench for a timeout. The Cleveland Cavaliers won that one, 135-130, though they needed two extra periods to top the Pacers.
Following that contest, James acknowledged his mistake in an interview. "I take full responsibility for that as the leader of the team. So I got to be a lot better at that and be able to keep that in-house in the locker room and when we're watching film," he added. Thompson, on the other hand, reiterated that they are a family and said it was just a "little miscommunication."
LeBron James still out
In other Cleveland Cavaliers news, LeBron James is out when last season's runners-up continue their preseason campaign versus the Washington Wizards today.
Nearly two weeks ago, James injured his left ankle after stepping on the foot of rookie Cedi Osman at practice. According to Cleveland.com, head coach Tyronn Lue revealed that the three-time NBA champion returned to practice Thursday. Unfortunately, his ankle was "still sore," but he is capable of working out.
The Cavaliers only have two preseason outings left on their schedule after their game in Washington.
They will face the Chicago Bulls at home on October 10. Three days later, they are going to close their campaign with another road trip as they visit the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center. As of the moment, it is uncertain if James can join them in these contests. James' close friend, Dwyane Wade, has been taking his spot in the starting lineup with him still on the sideline.
