The Minnesota Timberwolves delighted their fans by extending Andrew Wiggins' contract for five years. Minnesota Timberwolves is one of the most beneficial teams of the offseason period after they made several trades to improve the team. They have very talented and young players like Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. The Wolves got Jimmy Butler while Chicago received Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the fourth pick in the draft. Besides Butler, the Chicago Bulls sent their 16th overall pick to Minnesota. They signed with the veterans Jamal Crawford and Taj Gibson as free agents.

They also signed Jeff Teague from Indiana Pacers after Ricky Rubio's trade to Utah Jazz. After those great additions to the Timberwolves' roster, they may be a title contender. Karl-Anthony Towns

Towns is considered one of the best centers if not the best, in the NBA in the current period. "He deserves every dime. We are very happy to have him, especially, after his extension of a long-term contract. I am happy that he signed that contract which means that he will spend a long time with us. He works seriously and we are of course lucky to have him," Towns said.

The point guard Tyus Jones also reacted to Andrew's contract extension. Jones said: "I'm very happy for him. I think everyone was waiting for this extension, so we are very happy for him.

Jamal Crawford

Veteran Jamal Crawford who signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this offseason. He signed a deal worth $9 million over two years with a second-year player option included.

Crawford spent most of his last season with L.A. Clippers and won Sixth Man of the Year award On April 19, 2016. "He's such a big piece, I think he will sleep well tonight," said Crawford.

The former No. 1 pick has improved his scoring average every season since he won Rookie of the Year in 2014/2015. he has improved his points per game from 16.9 in 2014-15 to 23.6 in 2016-17.

Timberwolves played only 3 games in the preseason against L.A. Lakers and Golden State Warriors (twice) with a 2-1 record. Wiggins has averaged 14.6 points, 2 rebounds, 1.3 assists per game. The Minnesota Timberwolves are preparing to their season debut against the San Antonio Spurs at AT&T Center.
