Celta Vigo are willing to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Pape Cheikh Diop for $11.5m. Elsewhere, Sporting Lisbon have told Liverpool Football Club it will cost them $115m if they want to sign Gelson Martins this summer. In Holland, Real Madrid are considering hijacking Tottenham's move for Ajax starlet Davinson Sanchez. Here's a full report of these headlines:
Tottenham Hotspur ignite chase for Cheikh Diop
According to Mirror, Celta Vigo is ready to sell Pape Cheikh Diop for as little as $11.5m this summer. The Spanish Club reportedly “deemed” that good value for the midfielder, and they'll accept any bids of that sum.
Reports last week claimed Tottenham Hotspur had begun discussions for the 20-year-old. Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring Pape Cheikh Diop all summer, and they've now made their approach to sign the midfielder.
Liverpool willing to sign Gelson Martin,
Liverpool Football Club is willing to sign Sporting Lisbon's Gelson Martins this summer, according to Liverpoolecho. However, the English giants are in for a “shock” as Sporting Lisbon are set to increase Martins' asking price to $115million. The Portuguese winger has been on Liverpool's radar for quite some time now, and they had been alerted to his initial $69million buyout clause but now Sporting are set to increase his price in an attempt to ward off Liverpool and other clubs interested in the winger.
Gelson Martin, 22, was in brilliant form last season for Sporting Lisbon, and he has carried that into the new season by scoring two goals.
Real Madrid set to hijack Tottenham Hotspur target Sanchez
Real Madrid have entered the chase to sign Ajax Amsterdam central defender Davison Sanchez this transfer window, according to Express.
Real Madrid are said to have been keeping close tabs on Davinson Sanchez for the past few months, and they're now ready to “spring into action” after Tottenham Hotspur made their move for the fullback. However, the Dutch giants still remain “adamant” that he will not be leaving the club this summer window. Davinson Sanchez, 21, was in an impressive form for Ajax Amsterdam last term after joining the Dutch club from Atletico Nacional last summer.
Sanchez played a prominent role in helping Ajax Amsterdam reach the finals of last seasons' UEFA Europa League and speculations over the weekend claimed Tottenham Hotspur were hopeful of signing up the Colombian for a fee around $45m.
