Lyon and Tottenham leads chase to sign Cheikh Diop
La Liga club Celta Vigo are ready to lose their highly rated winger Pape Cheikh Diop this summer, amid interest from Lyon and Tottenham, according to HITC.
Lyon is said to have not given up the chase for the midfielder, while Tottenham Hotspur are been considered favorites to sign Cheikh Diop.
It is has been suggested Olympique Lyon is working “overtime” to convince Cheikh Diop to move to France and will continue to battle it out until the end of this summer window. However, the “lure” of a move to the English Premier League could yet prove too hard to snub and Tottenham is thought to be closing in on their second summer signing. Last weekend Pape Cheikh Diop did not feature for Celta Vigo against Real Sociedad in their La Liga opener adding to speculations Diop is set to leave the club.
Manchester United reluctant to sell Andrea Pereira
According to the Sun, Manchester United have turned down Valencia's move to sign Andrea Pereira on loan this summer.
Earlier this week the owner of Valencia Peter Lim traveled to Manchester to discuss a possible loan deal for the Brazilian but it apparently appears no hope of signing the midfielder. Plaza Deportiva have stated that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be “blocking” the move for Andrea Pereira as he sees the Brazilian as an integral part of the team this season.
Andrea Pereira, 21, spent last season on loan at Granada and scored five goals in thirty-five La Liga outings for the club in the hope of securing more first team football at Manchester United.
Diafra Sakho may leave West Ham this summer
Diafra Sakho is considering his future at West Ham United, amid growing interest from Girondin Bordeaux and Lazio, according to Football London.
French Ligue 1 club Bordeaux is said to have announced their desire to snap up the Senegalese international this summer, while SS Lazio have also shown an interest in the striker. With just one week left to the close of this summer window, both Bordeaux and Lazio must move quickly or risk missing out on the Senegalese international. Diafra Sakho has been pushed further down the pecking order at West Ham United following the Hammers' capture of Marko Arnautovic and Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez this summer.
