Italian giants AS Roma are reportedly lining up Everton FC target Rachid Ghezzal as Egypt midfielder Mohamed Salah close in on his move to Liverpool FC. Elsewhere, Juventus have made a $50million offer for Chelsea FC target Federico Bernardeschi, while MLS giants LA Galaxy are preparing to “hijack” Fenerbahçe's move for Arsenal keeper David Ospina, by formally launching their own bid. Here's a complete report of the latest transfers updates Making The Rounds:
Salah close in on finalizing move to Liverpool
Mohamed Salah is expected to accept a $44million move to Liverpool in the coming days after flying to England for his medicals.
Salah's departure will certainly leave a vacuum in AS Roma's team as they look to replace a player who “weighted” in with double-figures for both assists and goals last term. According to Inside Futbol, Olympique Lyon midfielder Rachid Ghezzal, who's also a prime target for English club Everton, is the man Roma have reportedly identified to replace Mohamed Salah and are willing to tie-up a deal for the Algerian winger.
Ghezzal will be available on a free Transfer by the end of June when his current contract expires, and the Italian giants will then offer him a deal, although, AS Roma may still face strong competitions, with Everton and AC Milan reportedly interested in signing the Algerian winger too.
Bernardeschi set to leave Fiorentina
Federico Bernardeschi looks set to leave ACF Fiorentina this summer after declining the chance to sign a new deal with the Italian club, according to Talksport. Bernadeschi's current contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2019, but it has been suggested the Italian international could be sold out now to ensure he goes for a high-price.
Juventus and Chelsea are the two leading clubs at the front of the queue for the Italian international's signature and both European giants are determined to snap him up this summer transfer window.
Inter Milan and Bayern Munich have also expressed an interest, but it is Juventus who've apparently pushed ahead with a $50million bid.
Juventus are hoping that a formal offer can win them Bernardeschi's signature, but it was originally reported that fellow Italian club ACF Fiorentina wanted closer to $57million.
Galaxy ready to hijack Ospina move
LA Galaxy Chiefs are currently in serious talks with David Ospina's agent over a possible deal for the Columbian goalkeeper, according to The Sun Sport. David Ospina has played second-fiddle to Arsenal's first choice keeper Petr Cech for much of last season but did feature in the English FA Cup final win over Chelsea at the end of May. Turkish giants Fenerbahçe S.K are increasingly growing “anxious” despite reports in Turkey suggesting the Super Lig giants had already agreed personal terms with Ospina.
However, there remain complications over the transfer fee with the Turkish giants not willing to pay over $3.8million for the Columbian international's services. And their fears could even worsen with MLS club LA Galaxy preparing to hijack the deal and eventually capture David Ospina from under Fenerbahçe S.K's noses.
