Famed rock and roll icon, Dave Navarro is scheduled to play the U.S. National Anthem before the start of the main event of Saturday night's Mixed Martial Arts pay-per-view broadcast, Bellator NYC, from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.
The June 24 musical performance is set to take place before headliners Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva fight in a highly anticipated matchup inside the world's most famous arena, MSG. Navarro will play the Star Spangled Banner on the electric guitar before the live audience and millions of MMA fans watching around the world on pay-per-view.

Navarro is a founding member of the 1980's band, Jane's Addiction. He has also spent time playing with The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Despite being in the band for five years and playing on one album, Navarro was not inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the band.
The preliminary portion of the Bellator fight card will be broadcast on Spike TV which is also the home to "Inked," an American tattoo competition reality show now in its ninth season in which Navarro plays host.
Navarro has also appeared in multiple television series to include Sons of Anarchy, Law and Order SVU, Celebrity Poker Showdown, Talking Dead, and more. He has been married three times, most recently to actress and model Carmen Electra.
The couple divorced in 2007.
