Minnesota takes on Kansas City in the second game of their opening series after taking a built-in day off on Tuesday. Right-hander Ian Kennedy will make his start with the Royals. He compiled an 11-11 record last season in 33 starts with a 3.68 ERA. Left-hander Hector Santiago will be on the mound with the Twins. He switched from the LA Angels to the Twins last season and had a 13-10 record with a 4.70 ERA. First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 PM Eastern time on Wednesday afternoon. Kepler moves from eighth all the way to second behind lead-off hitter Dozier. Kepler went 1-for-4 on Monday for the Twins and left two runners in scoring position with two outs.
Grossman moves from that second position to the final spot in the order. He didn't record a hit (0-for-3) but took a walk to bring in a run. Both him and Buxton recorded six of the team's 11 strikeouts. Rosario moves from the final spot to the eighth spot. He went 1-for-3 and also recorded a strikeout.
