The NFL Draft kicked off Thursday night and was full of happiness, drama, strategy and for some teams, luck. While 32 players have already found their new homes, hundreds more await what will be there future as their names are individually called in Philadelphia this weekend.
As the second day of the draft is now at hand, so is the need to search out the top available remaining players. For a lot of teams, day two of the draft is when they historically find the best value players still available as the draft always leads to several players slipping down the ranks as it progresses.
List of available players on day two is loaded
Below is a list of the top twenty-five remaining players who are available:
- Dalvin Cook - Running back (FSU) - After being viewed as a top 20 overall prospect for much of the process, Cook's stock has taken a hit lately. After a poor showing at the combine, it was leaked that Cook had three shoulder surgeries before the event took place.
- Malik McDowell - Defensive lineman (MSU) - Many scouts have chosen to judge McDowell on his lackluster performance at the combine. His weaknesses appeared to be giving interviews...nevertheless, McDowell is a player that will make an immediate impact.
- Forrest Lamp - Offensive lineman (Western Kentucky)
- Zach Cunningham - Inside linebacker (Vanderbilt)
- Obi Melifonwu - Safety (UConn) - 6-4, 224 pounds, runs the forty in 4.4, has a 44-inch vertical and has six interceptions over the last two seasons.
- Cam Robinson - Offensive tackle (Alabama)
- Tim Williams - Linebacker (Alabama)
- Budda Baker - Safety (Washington)
- Quincy Wilson - Cornerback (Florida)
- Joe Mixon - Running back (Oklahoma) - Most all teams will hesitate with Joe Mixon the moment they are reminded of his past and what he's been accused of.
- Alvin Kamara - Running back (Tennessee) - Kamara is highly explosive, but inconsistent despite his athletic ability.
- Josh Jones - Safety (NC State)
- Justin Evans - Safety (Texas A&M)
- Gerald Everett - Tight End (South Alabama)
- Teez Tabor - Cornerback (Florida)
- Ryan Anderson - outside linebacker (Alabama)
- Caleb Brantley - defensive lineman (Florida) - Brantley was once viewed as a top 2 round prospect, but has had some drama strike in the last few days in his personal life.
- Carl Lawson - Edge Rusher (Auburn)
- Fabiem Moreau - Cornerback (UCLA)
- DeShone Kizer - QB (Notre Dame) - Much like Kizer's throwing arm on any given Saturday, Kizer is consistently inconsistent. He throws to many interceptions.
