After weeks of speculation and will-he-won't-he gossip, Kensington Palace confirmed earlier in the week that Meghan's father, Thomas, is too ill to attend the ceremony. It had been thought that Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, would be the first woman to give away her daughter at a royal wedding. Mrs. Ragland will instead escort her daughter to St George's Chapel in Windsor.

In further announcements from the palace, the 96-year-old Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, will attend the ceremony despite being in recovery from a hip operation earlier in the year.
Meghan Markle's mother is to meet the Queen today at Windsor Castle. Earlier in the week, she met Harry's father, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla at Clarence House in London. She also met Harry's brother, Prince William, and his wife Catherine, along with their two oldest children, four-year-old Prince George and three-year-old Princess Charlotte.
The ceremony will begin on Saturday at 12.00pm BST and is to be held at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
Earlier in the week, the list of page boys and bridesmaids was announced. The list includes Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Harry's nephew and niece, and also the children of Meghan Markle's best friend, Jessica Mulroney: four-year-old Ivy, and her seven-year-old twin brothers, Brian and John.
Ms. M.arkle will also have the company of her goddaughters Remi List, who is six, and her sister Rylan, aged seven. In addition, Harry has asked his three godchildren, Florence van Custom, Zalie Warren, and Jasper Dyer aged between three and six years old to act as bridesmaids and page boys at his wedding.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, George and Charlotte, are the more experienced ceremonial assistants having taken on the role at the 2017 wedding of their aunt, Pippa Middleton to James Matthews.

Will it be Princess Meghan?
In short, no. Because Meghan Markle was not born into the royal family, she will not become Princess Meghan. Instead, it is possible that she will become Her Royal Highness, Princess Henry of Wales, or she could become a duchess as was the case when Kate Middleton married Prince William. Henry is, of course, Harry's official name: Henry Charles Albert David.
Now that all the details are sorted, we can all focus on the BIG news of the day: What will Meghan be wearing?!
