One of the best things about streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime, is the binge-factor. Back in October, 15.8 million people watched the first episode of "Stranger Things 2" within the first three days. And because of the show's production value, casting, and 1980s nostalgia, it is a safe bet most of those people finished the season pretty quickly.

Unfortunately, the downside to the binge-factor is... once you've binged, there's nearly an entire year left to wait for the next season. You could go back to the beginning again, but no matter how great the show is, you can only watch it so many times before you start memorizing every scene and the whole thing loses its magic.

And we don't want that.

Fortunately, if you live in the southeast US, there's something else you can do to keep the magic alive while you anxiously await Season 3: Visit three of the "Stranger Things" filming locations in Atlanta! Bellwood Quarry

Located at Chappell Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318, the Bellwood Quarry is the iconic setting for Eleven's dramatic salvation of Mike from the school bullies in Season 1, Episode 6. Her bloody-nosed entrance saves him from an almost certain death by suspending him in the air for a moment, then pulling him back to safety. Afterward, she mind-breaks one of the bully's arms and sends the two mean boys on their way.

This scene also gives fans the satisfaction of one of the sweetest best-friend hug moments of all time.

The Wheeler House

While all the interior scenes at the Wheeler House were filmed on a studio lot, this house provides the nostalgic 80s exterior for Mike's and Nancy's home.

Located at Chappell Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318, the Wheeler House is the backdrop to many scenes, including the five kids' backyard bike ride escape from the Hawkins Lab scientists parked out front.

It's also the backdrop for Steve's attempt at reconciliation with a frustrated Nancy in Season 2, Episode 6. Red roses fix everything.

Hawkins National Laboratory

Like the Wheeler House, the interior Hawkins Lab scenes were filmed in a studio, but Emory University provides a fantastically spooky exterior for the dark, human experiments taking place in the lab.

The actual building is located at the Briarcliff Campus, 1256 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta. Another interesting fact is that Emory used to be a mental institution, which makes its part in the show even more creepy!

Hawkins Lab has shown up in many scenes but especially takes the proverbial cake in one of the darkest and most harrowing episodes in the entire show: Season 1, Episode 8. In this chapter, a pack of "demo-dogs" wreak havoc on the laboratory, and (spoiler alert), we are forced to watch the unfortunate demise of sweet Bob, Will's almost step-dad.
