“He is all about lights, camera, action, and he is a performer, and we are going to use that to our advantage,” Burke said. “As long as we practice hard on the studio and work hard, then he can do whatever he likes on the dance floor.”

The former NFL star added that he had a conversation with his friend Chad Johnson about how difficult it would be to compete.

Johnson competed with his would-be partner during the 10th season of the show. When asked why he wanted to join the competition, he said he had a couple of options since there is nothing so much going on in his life.

“I expect nothing different. This is going to be a challenge for me, definitely. It is definitely not in my wheelhouse. I have danced as a little kid but this is nothing like what I want to expect, for sure,” the celebrity hopeful shared.

Burke’s experiences

Cheryl Burke is joining other dance pros in the 25th season of “Dancing With The Stars,” such as Emma Slater, Mark Ballas, Alan Bersten and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She has previously danced with another former NFL athlete Emmitt Smith before on the same show.

Owens hails from Alabama and has played for various NFL teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Francisco 49ers.

His official profile revealed that he ended his NFL stint with a record of 1,078 receptions, almost 16,000 yards, and 153 touchdowns.
