Just days after Kylie Jenner announced she was pregnant with Travis Scott’s baby, her sister Khloé has also revealed similar news. The 33-year-old confirmed she is in her second trimester and should give birth in the first quarter of 2018.
Finally getting to be a mom
Having struggled for years to get pregnant, the reality TV star was ecstatic at the news. She told E-Online that she and the child’s father, Tristan Thompson have “definitely talked about starting a Family and he wants to have about five or six kids with me and that’s lovely”. It’s not the first time that Khloe has tried to conceive.
During her marriage to NBA player Lamar Odom from 2009-2013, she was quite vocal about her failed fertility treatments. In early 2017, she even volunteered to be a surrogate for her sister Kim and potentially carry her third baby. After a doctor’s examination, however, Khloe was deemed unsuitable for the job due to her past reproductive history. Confessing her concerns to E-Online, Khloe said she can’t wait to be a mother because it’s her lifelong dream. She added, however, that it scared her to bring a child into a world “filled with so much hate and terror.” Thompson already has one son from a previous relationship. Prince Oliver will turn one year old in December.
One after the next
Khloe and Kylie aren’t the only ones celebrating these days.
Their sister Kim and husband Kanye West are also expecting their third child via surrogate, a San Diego mom in her 20s. According to US Magazine, the woman was sourced through an agency and will be paid a hefty sum for her services including $45,000 in 10 monthly installments. The agency’s deposit alone amounted to $68,850.
Kim and Kanye are already parents to 4-year-old North and 19 month old Saint. But due to problems with a life-threatening condition called placenta accrete, Kim decided to hire a surrogate. As for 20-year-old Kylie, it’s her first child and she’s expecting a girl. The entrepreneur and model only started dating her rapper boyfriend a few months ago, but sources say the urge for motherhood has been overwhelming.
No marriage in the foreseeable future
Kylie has told the Daily Mail that she “doesn’t know Travis well enough to walk down the aisle”. Sister Khloe also has no plans to tie the knot anytime soon, especially as her last marriage to Odom was a disaster. He was heavily involved in drug and alcohol use and bouts of depression. In 2015, he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel and nearly died from a drug overdose. Khloe tried to patch things up but the humiliation, coupled with his inability to stay faithful and drug-free, led her to divorce. Both sisters seem to be following in the footsteps of big sister Kourtney who had three children for former boyfriend Scott Disick but refused to marry him. Their tumultuous relationship was documented on their reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ and frequently showed Scott cheating on Kourtney and his many stints in rehab.
