The latest season of “X Factor,” is just around the corner. The judges to this season’s event are Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, as always. Just ahead of the premiere, Simon Cowell revealed a few important details that may not have been known up till now. He spoke about why he keeps coming back on “X Factor,” as the judge and also how he feels bad about “One Direction,” finishing third back when they were contestants.

Cowell on his future

According to a report by Express, Cowell was asked where he sees himself in the next five year’s time.

To which, he responded by saying that he wants to be happy. Secondly, he wants to be able to hold relevance. “If you achieve these two things and success, then you’re in a good place because this business is tough,” he added. He further went on to add that if he ever loses the ability to spot the right artist then he will get out of the field right away.

Simon Cowell, the founder of One Direction

Cowell has been given much of the credit for discovering One Direction. The boy band, which was discovered back in 2011, consists of members Harry Styles, Niall Horann, Liam Payne, Louis Tomilson and Zayn Malik. Unfortunately, the band broke up two years later with Harry Styles and Zayn Malik pursuing their own solo career.

Out of these fellow artists, Zayn Malik is the only one who has managed to make it big in the industry. The artist only recently won the MTV VMA award for best collaboration with Taylor Swift. The judge for “X Factor,” is now obsessed with finding the next best thing in the market.

He believes in using his experience for the search of the right artist.

He has also kept a look out for someone who would do his job for him. “X Factor,” faces direct competition from “Strictly Come Dancing.” With the aim to shake off things up with its rival, Simon Cowell was working towards making some changes in “X Factor,” a report by The Metro reads. The first look of the show’s 14th season is officially out now.

Cowell has explained that he had made a few changes to the show’s format with the objective to rile up the low ratings.

According to a report by The Daily Mail, the sneak peek into “X Factor,” series 14 showcases Simon joking about Nicole being romantically inclined towards a contestant. Scherzinger is in a relationship with Grigor Dimitrov, therefore, this has caused a controversy among the fans. It appears that the comment made by Simon was only in good faith.
