Last night, Ridley Scott released new clip online from his movie, “Alien: Covenant.” From this trailer, it is evident that the film will bring forth new characters. At first glimpse, we feel that Xenomorph has attacked a man, and is about to kill him. As a result, the innocent screams for help, but there’s no one around.

The 20-second trailer for the latest installment of “Alien” film series brings back Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Billy Crudup, Katherine Waterston, and Demian Bichir. All of the main characters can be seen in the new footage.

‘Alien: Covenant’ – the Hollywood film

“Alien: Covenant” is scheduled to be released on May 12, 2017, and dozens of teaser trailers and posters have arrived online. This science fiction movie is scripted by John Logan, with Jack Paglen serving as executive producer. “Alien: Covenant” is a sequel to 2012 horror, “Prometheus,” and the second installment in the “Alien” film series.

In the United States, the movie will be released in 2D, IMAX 3D, and DVD formats. Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, and Benjamin Rigby are new to the cast. Immediately after the release of “Prometheus” in 2012, the filmmaker, Scott, hinted at the prospects of a prequel and sequel.

He said the new films are likely to be released in 2017 and 2018.

In September 2016, Ridley confirmed the title of the movie, its synopsis, and star cast at a press conference. He also revealed that the Australian government had offered a lump sum of $45 million for the production of “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Alien: Covenant,” but the director did not speak about whether he accepted the amount or not.

Box office projection and possible sequel

Early projections reveal that “Alien: Covenant” will gross at least $20 million in the United States and $15 million in Canada in its opening weekend.

Earlier this month, 20th Century Fox released a virtual reality trailer for the movie, depicting its main characters and the person who is playing a Xenomorph.

The studio also confirmed another sequel “Prometheus,” which is likely to be released in the second half of 2018. Ridley Scott says that new xenomorph aliens will be created for future films. Production is scheduled to begin in November 2017.

Scott is also credited for the success of “Thelma and Louise,” “Blade Runner,” “Hannibal,” “Black Hawk Down,” “The Martian,” and “American Gangster.” He received four Academy Awards for “Kingdom of Heaven.” A few months ago, he earned an honorary doctorate from London’s Royal College of Art.
