Reports have now confirmed that the award-winning "Titanic" actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, is now back in the market and has split with his Danish supermodel girlfriend, Nina Agdal. The high-profile couple has been dating for over a year and things apparently didn't work out. Rumors of the split only started this month. Fans were, of course, shocked at the news as there wasn't really any signs of trouble in the relationship prior to the alleged split.
Dating timeline
DiCaprio and Andal were first spotted together back in 2014 leaving a New York club called Club Avenue.
However, the two celebrities weren't really an item back then as they each had their own relationships. The now 42-year old actor was dating German Calvin Klein supermodel Toni Garrn, while Agdal was dating "The Wanted" band member Max Albert George.
About two years later, in May 2016, the couple was spotted once again, this time at a club called Up & Down. Rumors started to spread that the pair were actually officially an item. A month later, reports had confirmed that the couple were officially dating and even had a romantic getaway in the Hamptons. This was then followed by several sightings of the pair engaging in public displays of affection at different locations and events.
A seemingly serious relationship
Compared to the other supermodels that DiCaprio had previously dated, his relationship to Agdal was seen by some fans as a more serious one. The actor was more open to bringing his girlfriend around with him to his events and didn't shy away from displaying their affection in public.
Sources close to the couple even revealed that DiCaprio was very much into her in an entirely different way compared to his past relationships.
DiCaprio constantly holds her hand and kisses her in public. Agdal is also very happy with his company and is constantly showing a bright smile when she is with him. DiCaprio even brought Agdal and her family with him to French Polynesia to celebrate his 42nd birthday late last year.
Rumors then started to circulate that DiCaprio might be thinking about moving in with her and is actually looking for a house in Malibu.
That rumor was later debunked, but that didn't stop the couple from showing up in different events up until April of this year.
Sudden breakup
The 25-year old supermodel has always been active on social media and has consistently been posting photos of her travels and adventures. Up until now, no posts on her accounts seems to hint anything about the breakup. Both parties have also not yet officially confirmed their split.
