A Hulu spokesperson has confirmed that “The Handmaid’s Tale” will be aired this Sunday, and Elizabeth Moss plays the leading role. The show will premiere on Crave TV in Canada, and Bravo in the US, but Hulu has not confirmed anything about the UK broadcast. It means the series will be unavailable to UK consumers unless there are any changes in the plan.

“The Handmaid's Tale” is a famous American drama developed by Bruce Miller based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name.
Hulu ordered the new season in April 2016, and the first three episodes premiered last week with new episodes added on a weekly basis.

The story revolves around Offred, who serves an elite Commander along with his wife, Handmaid. The husband and wife are forced to work under strict terms and conditions. In addition to Elizabeth, the series features Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Joseph Fiennes, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O.
T. Fagbenle, Max Minghella, and Samira Wiley in the leading roles. Amanda Brugel, Kristen Gutoskie, Ever Carradine, and Jordana Blake play the supporting characters.

The production and early reception
According to a Hulu spokesperson, the series was ordered in April 2016 with Elizabeth Moss playing the leading role.
Fran Sears and Daniel Wilson were recruited as executive producers in June 2016. The same year, Reed Morano was hired as a director, and Max, Ann, and Samira joined the cast.
Filming took place in Toronto and Los Angeles from October 2016 to January 2017. The first promo and several movie posters were released on March 23, 2017, and received thousands of YouTube views in no time.
“The Handmaid's Tale” received acclaim from critics. On Metacritic, it has scored 94 out of 100 based on 34 reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, its average rating is 9 out of 10 based on 47 critics.
Daniel Fienberg from The Verge has named it a series with incredible story and impressive star cast. Jen Chaney from Vulture has stated that it is a good adaptation of the novel with excellent cinematography. Overall, the show received great reviews. From its cinematography to the performance of Elizabeth, everything is being admired by critics.
