Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt are returning to the “Jurassic World” sequel, which is being directed and co-produced by J.A. Bayona.

Fans will be excited to know that Jeff Goldblum is returning to the world of dinosaurs. He confirmed the news through a tweet last night. Previously, we saw Goldblum in 1993 blockbuster “jurassic park,” and 1997 thriller “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.”

Since May 2016, the actor was in the talks with Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures for the new “Jurassic World” film. Previously, J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) directed the studio’s first two films, which grossed over $3 billion worldwide, and became one of the highest-grossing film franchises in history.

‘Jurassic World 2’ – a thriller film

“Jurassic World 2” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood movies. It is a direct sequel to the 2015 blockbuster “Jurassic World,” and the fifth film in the “Jurassic Park” series. The story is penned by Derek Connolly, with Colin Trevorrow writing its dialogues. B. D. Wong, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell, and Ted Levine are in the supporting characters, with Patrick Crowley, Belen Atienza, and Frank Marshall serving as film producers.

“Jurassic World 2” is scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada on June 7, 2018, with a worldwide release on June 22, 2018. Early conversations on the movie began in January 2015 when executive producer Steven Spielberg told The Verge that he was interested in developing more “Jurassic Park” films.

In August 2015, the producer officially confirmed Colin Trevorrow to direct the sequel. In January 2016, it was reported that Bayona would direct the film, with Patrick Crowley and Belen Atienza joining as executive producers.

Initially, the film was being shot with the title “The Impossible.” Later on, the filmmaker renamed it to “Jurassic World 2” as he felt that the title wasn’t appropriate for the movie.

Jeff Goldblum confirmed yesterday through his social media that the filming would take place at Pinewood Studios in England. Several scenes will be shot in Hawaii, and animated dinosaurs will be used during the production. Earlier this month, several scenes were filmed in Berkshire and Hampshire.

Born in 1952, he is best known for his performances in “Independence Day,” “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “The Big Chill,” and “Into the Night.” He rose to prominence with his incredible work in David Cronenberg's blockbuster “The Fly,” which earned him several awards, including one Saturn Award and one Filmfare Award.
