The new song is a tribute to the deceased partnerThe Canadian singer Céline Dion announced on Wednesday the launch of her first song after the death of her husband, René Angélil. She also confessed in an interview that the memory of her partner is still very present, according to AFP News agency.

An homage to the deceased spouse

The new song released by Céline Dion is called "Encore a soir." The title of the song is a tribute to her partner who died in January this year. The song is composed by Jean-Jacques Goldman. The French weekly news magazine Paris Match reports that the song will be released on May 24.

The artist's husband died of throat cancer

Rene Angelil, who was 26 years older than Celine Dion, died at 73 years old because of a throat cancer at their residence in Las Vegas. Because she wanted to respect the wish of Rene, who was also her manager, the artist -- who has more than 200 million albums sold worldwide -- returned to the stage in Las Vegas after only 6 weeks since her husband's death.

René Angélil was born in January 1942 in Montreal in a Libano-Syrian family. He sung in the group Les Baronets in the first half of the 1960s but he did not reach the success he wanted on the stage, so he decided to become an artistic impresario. He discovered Céline Dion almost by accident. Céline was 12 years old when she was brought to the audition by her mother.

Later, Angélil said a miracle happened at that audition because he had never heard such a voice before. He considered Céline's voice to be the most beautiful voice in the world.

In a recent interview with ABC channel, Céline Dion said that her husband's memory remains alive, especially when she interprets the song "The Show Must Go On" - a reinterpretation of Queen's famous song from 1991.

She said that these were the words that René had told her when he was very sick, realizing that 'the show must go on."

Her brother also died of cancer

The youngest daughter of a family with 14 children, the artist has recently lost one of her brothers too, Daniel. Daniel died of cancer at the age of 59, two days after René Angélil's death.

Then, she said to ABC: "I thought that my husband came back to take my brother with him because he was too weak to fly alone to heaven."

More than 200 million albums sold worldwide

At 48 years old, Céline Dion is on the list of best selling artists in the world with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide. The Canadian artist has won five Grammys and she has many hits that the public didn't forget, many years after their launch. She has released 14 albums in French and 11 albums in English in her successful career.
