Wonder Woman is one of the most well-know superheroes of all times, and she’s about to get yeat another movie by Warner Bros. Even though her own movie is set to premiere on 2017, her debut will bem ade in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, that’ll be release on May 2016.
Israeli actress Gal Gadot will play the amazonian hero and she already signed a three-picture contract with the company – which means she will presumably apear not only in Batman v Superman and in her own film, but also in Justice League. "Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe.
Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character", said director Zack Snyder.
As for the storyline, word is that we’re actually going back in time! From what we know, the first part of the movie will be set during the World War I, while the other half will be on modern times. According to the superhero movie’ website, the big villain of this film will be War God Ares, as he’ll stole a sword that would give him the power to overtake Olympus. For that, the big challenge the heroine will face is nothing less than a possible 3rd World War!
Last but not least, a lot of fans are worried about her iconic costume. What we can say is that her costume in Batman v Superman is almost like a warrior costume, with a lot of leather straps, her famous gauntlets and a sword. While we still don’t know for sure about what she will wear in her own movie, we’re pretty sure it’ll somehow similar to that.
Chris Pine will star as Steve Trevor and Robin Wright – probably in the unknown role Nicole Kidman was in negotions for – is also in the cast.
Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya and Lucy Davis round out the cast as announced by Warner. The film will have United Kingdom, France and Italy as locations.
