'Batman' on NES is one of the best games on the system

Boasting amazing acrobatic skills, a wide variety of wonderful toys and dark moody visuals, Sunsoft's 8-bit adaption of the first Burton film epitomizes what it's like to be Gotham's protector while delivering a side-scrolling action game on par with "Ninja Gaiden" and "Mega-Man." Wall-jumping, punching, and tossing batarangs all feel tight and responsive. The great gameplay mixed with its amazing soundtrack come together to create what is possibly the best game based on Keaton's Batman.
