We are getting closer! Only 11 more days until college football officially starts.

I can only imagine if you are as excited as I am to see some of the biggest games in Week 1, which for some teams will determine if they are a championship contender.

Here are a few games and predictions for Week 1 of College Football:

Florida State vs. Alabama

This is a game that features two great head coaches in Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban. After Alabama's loss to the Clemson Tigers in the National Championship game last year, the Crimson Tide looks to start the season off well and end up back in the National Championship game this year.

Florida State, on the other hand, has to rely on the experience of Deondre Francois after losing Dalvin Cook to the NFL. The question going into Week 1 for Florida State is who will fill in the big shoes of Dalvin Cook and emerge as a talented running back?

Overall, this game should be a classic and may come down to the last few minutes of the game. Although I would love to see Alabama lose the season opener, I am predicting the Crimson Tide to squeak by Florida State 28-24. This is due to the simple fact that Alabama seems to never lose to a Top 25 team in the season opener.

Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech

Atlanta seems to be the place to be on the Labor Day weekend. With Georgia State Football playing their opener in a new stadium to the Alabama vs.

Florida State game, some are overlooking the matchup between the Volunteers and Yellow Jackets.

The Volunteers are looking to rebuild after the departures of Joshua Dobbs, Jalen Hurd, and Alvin Kamara. They also have many questions about their head coach, Butch Jones and the identity of their team. After expectations of last season, the Volunteers look to start off their season with a win and hopefully win the SEC East.

The Yellow Jackets, on the other hand, look to rebuild of the momentum of last season with wins over SEC East opponents Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats. With not many ranked opponents on their schedule, the Yellow Jackets look to win the ACC Coastal and show why the ACC is better than the SEC.

I believe the Volunteers do not have enough to contend with the Yellow Jackets and I pick the Yellow Jackets to win 30-17.

I also think the home-field advantage will be too much for the Volunteers to fight against.

BYU vs. LSU

This is a game that features Ed Orgeron's first official season opener versus an experienced BYU team. Although a lot of people are tuned into the Alabama vs. Florida State game, you may want to flip between these two games because this has the making of also being a classic.

After a strong season by Derrius Guice last year, he looks to fill the shoes of the absent Leonard Fournette and help will LSU to a win.

BYU has the experience of Tanner Magnum who looks to have a better season from last year and contend with a strong SEC West opponent in LSU.

I am predicting BYU to keep it close until LSU pulls away in the 3rd quarter. I have LSU winning 31-10 with Guice having over 150 yards rushing.
