Former President Barack Obama is in a mood to unwind and is busy playing golf or Kite Surfing or watching a play on Broadway. He has wiped the slate clean and is concentrating on matters other than those related to America under a new leader. Matters like wiretapping or health reform laws are history to him.

CNN reports that he has kept himself busy all along. He loves golf and had engaged in a game of golf in California. Then there was a private island in the Caribbean where he had, for the company, billionaire Sir Richard Branson – together they went in for a bit of kite-surfing.
And, to keep track of cultural happenings, he attended a Broadway play in New York.
Last week he had Warren Buffett for the company at lunch in Omaha from where he flew to California and then again to Hawaii to whet his appetite for golf. At present, he is believed to be on an island in the middle of the Pacific near Tahiti where he could be holed up for the month. There is only one luxury hotel on the island, and its owner was Marlon Brando. It is possible that the ex-President might opt to stay there.
The contract of the book
The former president is committed to writing a book. He concluded a contract with Penguin Random House last month to write his memoir. Michelle will also write and, together, they expect to net a substantial sum.
They would donate a "significant portion" of that money to charities that will include the Obama Foundation.
Barack Obama has held the most important job in the world as President of the United States of America for two terms and, today, he has left it all behind him. He probably wants to focus on his book and is mentally preparing himself to take the plunge.
After all, writing one's memoir is not as easy as it sounds, especially for a political leader of the stature of Obama. There has to be authenticity and accuracy of data relating to events, individuals, and dates. His tenure has seen many upheavals both within the country as well as from different parts of the world. He will have to put them all in a proper order to be on top of the charts.
