Donald Trump's doctors have advised him to stay at Walter Reed Hospital during his illness. He will work out of the office at the hospital. The move is so they can check him closer than at the White House.

The New York Times reports that he shows "mild symptoms" in their conversation with Trump's Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

His flu-like symptoms with a fever, congestion, and cough—almost a mix between a cold and flu.

His stay at the Walter Reed Hospital is a precaution. The president is in a high-risk age group. During his annual physical, his health was good, with no major health risks.

Donald Trump's treatment for COVID-19

Trump is taking Regeneron, a polyclonal antibody cocktail. The cocktail dose was eight grams. This drug is still in phase IV trials and not available publicly.

Donald Trump is taking vitamin D, zinc, famotidine, melatonin, and aspirin, in addition to the Regeneron cocktail.

All the drugs and vitamins are a precaution. His staff and physicians emphasize that he is in good spirits and still working hard.

Testing for COVID-19 at the White House

Hope Hicks, a senior adviser for Donald Trump, announced that she tested positive for COVID-19. Trump on Twitter announced that he and Melania Trump were both awaiting their results.

Once again on Twitter, Trump announced that he and Melania had tested positive and were entering quarantine Friday morning.

Barron Trump's test was negative. Trump's other family members received tests. No one else received a positive test result in Trump's family.

No other members of his staff have tested positive for COVID-19.

Senator Mike Lee also announced a positive test. The Head of The Republican Party has also tested positive.

Vice-President Mike Pence and his spouse received tests. They also tested Joe Biden and his spouse since there were on the same debate stage last Tuesday. All four were negative for COVID-19.

The White House is busy every day, and Donald Trump is dealing with staffers throughout the day. The transfer of the virus among staffers is likely. No other cases have come from inside the White House at this time.

They set up the succession of the president with the 25th amendment. They have used it three times in American History, once by Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, who used it twice. No need to enact the 25th amendment, but they have a plan to continue the government if needed.
