Following the U.S. presidential election victory of famous reality star and real estate mogul Donald Trump, several celebrities recently expressed their interest in vying for a political position in the country. One of them is former Olympian and LGBT activist Caitlyn Jenner, who is expected to come up with a decision to join the senatorial run in California in the six months.

Jenner’s interest in joining the American political arena came during an interview with AM 970’s John Castimadis on Sunday. However, it was not the first time that the 67-year-old transgender woman expressed her interest in running for a public office, saying she “likes the political side of it.” In fact, she also told Don Lemon of CNN that she’s “seriously” considering to run for a political position.

Political plans

Caitlyn Jenner admitted that the vibrant world of politics has always “intrigued” her. Even though she is vying for the senatorial bid, the reality star also disclosed that in the next six months, she will be doing a lot of thinking whether she can really do a “better job” in the political scene.

Even though Jenner is a known supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump and the Republican party, she stressed that she won’t let them get off the hook if they messed up, especially when it comes to LGBTQ issues. She bravely said, “My loyalties are not with Donald Trump. I will come after him and come after Republicans if they come to my community. I’ve got a voice and they better listen, OK?

I will come after them.”

Jenner added that despite having a Republican’s political perspective, her “loyalties and fights” are not with her political party affiliation. “My loyalties are with my community and fighting for my community,” Jenner said.

Democrats vs. Republicans

In her recent “The View” interview, Jenner confessed how hard it was for her when she showed her support for the Republican party, saying it was more difficult to come out as a Republican than a transgender woman.

She also admitted that when it comes to dealing with LGBT issues, Democrats are far much better than Republicans.

Jenner said that the views of Democrats are more on “pro-equality and pro-LGBT.” Republicans, on the other hand, are thinking more about “rich white guys trying to make money” but Caitlyn Jenner remains hopeful that the insights of the next Republican party generation will change into a “party of equality.”

Moreover, Jenner stressed she does not believe in a “massive government.” What is more important for her is to “change people’s perception, overcome inequality and become unstoppable.”

Other celebs plan to enter the U.S. political scene

Apart from Jenner, there are also other celebrities who showed interests in entering the political scene in the United States.

They include Trump supporter and country-rock singer Kid Rock, who also plans to run for a senatorial position in 2018, and former WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who hinted his plans to run for a political position without revealing his political affiliation.
