Bampumim Teixeira, a 30-year-old man from Massachusetts, is accused of killing a Couple in the Boston Area. Armed with two guns, a knife, and duct tape, he used the garage to enter their penthouse, according to ABC News (citing Prosecutor John Pappas).
He was held without bail after denying the murder accusations in Suffolk Superior Court. According to the prosecutor, he stabbed Dr. Lina Bolanos (38) and Dr. Richard Field (49) on May 5. They were engaged.
The details of the murder by the witness
According to the persecutor Pappas's report, Teixeira had worked as a concierge at the building before.
On the day of the incident, he was seen near the building, which has a stairwell from the garage to the main door. The motive and details of the murder were not disclosed to the media.
Dr. Bolanos was a pediatric anesthesiologist in Massachusetts, and Dr. Field was an anesthesiologist at North Shore Pain Management. It is only known that the man managed to send a message to one of his friends before his death, that an arrow had appeared in his apartment. His friend called the police, and the officers found a key to get into the 11th-floor condo unit. They found the dead bodies of the couple with terrible wounds.
The victims had their hands tied together, and the walls of the room were smeared with their blood.
Teixeira claimed that he had no personal relationship with the couple. Police officers found a carving knife near the dead bodies. Moreover, a black suitcase filled with Lina Bolanos' jewelry was left at the crime scene. The Police officers also found the backpack with the fake guns and duct tape in the apartment. There are no details why Teixeira left all these things on the scene.
The lawyer has a right to request for a bail in future
During a confrontation with the police, the officers shot him twice, so the district court was held in the Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where Teixeira had been taken into the custody. During the detention, the suspect was wounded in the arm, leg, and abdomen.
On Monday, he appeared the first time in the court himself and seemed to be in good condition and even smiled, talking to the staff, although he had been charged with two counts of murder, armed robbery, kidnapping by confinement and the invasion of home.
Steven Sack, Teixeira's lawyer, refused to give any comments. It is worth noting that he did not choose the bail option, but he has the right to request bail in the future. The next hearing of the court will be held on September 12.
