FBI conducts a record-breaking number of gun background checks in March

The FBI managed to conduct over 3.7 million gun background checks in March alone, breaking the previous record of 3.3 million checks that were conducted in December of 2015. As Daily Mail UK reported earlier, the FBI conducted over 210,000 gun background checks on March 20. Daily Mail UK also added that the demand for handguns was bigger than the demand for long guns. The FBI conducted the most gun background checks in the state of Illinois. It goes without saying that the purchase of guns coincides with the recent coronavirus outbreak.
