Activision is planning big things for 'Call of Duty' series in the long run, including adopting building mechanics similar to what 'Fortnite' has in their game. Plenty of changes have been made to the "Call of Duty" franchise over the past few years. The game debuted in 2003 and focused on World War II, and now it's focused more on modern warfare, creating new mechanics. Experimenting with the franchise' games will not end anytime soon, as building mechanics is rumored to be added to next year's version.
