On Thursday, Novembers Games With Gold titles were announced. As usual, there are two Xbox 360 games, which will both automatically become backward compatible, and two Xbox One games. Also one of October's Games With Gold for the Xbox One, “The Turing Test”, will still be available to download until November 15th.
'Nights into Dreams'
“Nights into Dreams” will be free to download from November 1st until the fifteenth and will become backward compatible the first day it is available. The game came out back in October 2012 on Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade game.
It is an aerial adventure game that features two teenagers who end up in a dream world and then team up with an exiled Nightmaren named Nights to stop the evil ruler Wizeman. Developed and published by SEGA, the game is a high definition remaster of the remake of the game that was released exclusively in Japan for PS2 in 2008.
It originally came out on the Sega Saturn in 1996. “Nights into Dreams” received a 72 Metascore on Metacritic from 19 critic reviews. Since the game was part of Xbox Live Arcade, it only has 13 achievements worth 400 gamerscore.
'Deadfall Adventures'
“Deadfall Adventures” will be free to download from November 16 - 30. However, the game has been announced as being backwards compatible today.
It came out in November 2013, having been developed by The Farm 51 and published by Nordic Games.
The game is an action-adventure FPS that has players take on the role of James Lee Quartermaster, who has agreed to help the American government track down powerful artifacts scattered in hidden temples around the world. “Deadfall Adventures” received a 43 Metascore on Metacritic from 13 critic reviews.
It has 46 achievements worth 1,000 gamerscore, but the game does have one unobtainable achievement.
'Trackmania Turbo'
“Trackmania Turbo” will be free to download from November 1 - 3. The arcade racing platformer came out in March 2016. It was developed by Nadeo and published by Ubisoft. It features over 200 tracks across four different locations with a campaign mode, cooperative multiplayer and split-screen multiplayer mode.
The game received a Metascore of 76 on Metacritic from 12 reviews. It has 48 achievements worth 1,000 gamerscore.
'Tales from the Borderlands'
“Tales from the Borderlands” will be free to download from November 16 to December 15. The game is developed and published by Telltale Games as they apply their episodic storytelling abilities into Gearbox's “Borderlands” series. Players go through five episodes as protagonists Rhys and Fiona, making choices that have effects on the story. The game received praise from reviewers for its humorous writings, characters and creative setpieces.
