With Le'Veon Bell out for at least several weeks, the New York Jets will need to turn to someone at the running back position. Gore is now 37 years old and in no position to carry a majority of the workload against any team in the NFL. That should mean increased touches for Perine, who will have some fantasy value for the few weeks that Bell is out.
Jets placed RB Josh Adams and WR Josh Malone back on to the practice squad, per the transaction wire. New rules permit teams to do that twice without having to clear waivers. Adams will be needed vs 49ers with Le’Veon Bell likely out with hamstring injury.
